Canon Dave Elkington is the Bishop’s Adviser for Local Evangelism.

Dave's job is to help parishes fulfil the Great Commission [Matt 28:16-20] by becoming thriving communities of faith aiming to be always Generous, Engaged and Open, thereby sustaining local Christian presence.
Dave seeks to help by advising and supporting parishes in the study of the theology and practical expressions of Evangelism.
Together with the Evangelism task group Dave seeks to
• Promote and advise on introductory and nurture courses e.g. Alpha, Emmaus, Essence, lost For Words, START etc
• Helping Churches to plan and deliver mission weekends
• Provide training in evangelism
• Strategic planning through ‘Healthy Churches’ and Mission Action Plans.
