Newcastle - Botswana Anglican Companion Link

Mothers' Union members in the Diocese of Botswana greet visitors from Newcastle
The aims of the Companion Link are to walk together in Christian discipleship as we share each other's calling and concerns, to further the mission of the Church through evangelism and nurture, and through care and service to strengthen the bonds of unity within the Anglican Communion.
Botswana is a land-locked country in southern Africa, more than twice the size of Great Britain, with a population of 1.7 million. It has a stable government and its political institutions have remained intact since independence from Britain in 1966. As part of its commitment to pray for the people of Botswana, Link Task Group members encourage the use of the "prayer for Africa":
God bless Africa,
Guard her children,
Guide her leaders,
And give her peace.
For Jesus’ sake, Amen.
Please help with your prayers for projects in Botswana which the Diocese of Newcastle has supported through the Companion Link. For more information and details regarding this work please contact the Link Officer, the Revd. Geoff Lowson, email geoffl@freenet.co.uk
