To act as an advocate for children’s workers and children within the Diocese
To maintain a high profile for the place of children as people of faith and models of discipleship
To discern needs of children’s workers and children
To be a place for play and for the generation and development of ideas
To support and advise the Children’s Work Adviser and all those contributing to the nurture of children

Committee for Inter Faith and Ethnic Relations (CIFER)
To promote respect for all people and faith/cultures, awareness of religious, cultural and ethnic differences, recognition of their contribution to national/local life, and action on matters of common concern and social justice.

Continuing Learning for Ministry (CLfM)
To provide continuing educational and developmental opportunities for laity and clergy engaged in ministry, according to Diocesan vision and priorities.

Disability
To enable parishes within Newcastle Diocese to have an understanding of disability matters and to promote good practice within the Diocese.

Domestic Abuse
To promote awareness of and develop skills in addressing domestic abuse throughout the Diocese of Newcastle.

Environment
To promote the use of Eco-Congregation resources and support parishes using them, to review and report on environmental action in the Diocese and encourage the adoption of environment policies.

Evangelism
