- To act as an advocate for children’s workers and children within the Diocese
- To maintain a high profile for the place of children as people of faith and models of discipleship
- To discern needs of children’s workers and children
- To be a place for play and for the generation and development of ideas
- To support and advise the Children’s Work Adviser and all those contributing to the nurture of children
